PTA will Block unregistered Mobile phones After October, 20 2018

PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) will block all illegal/unregistered Mobile devices after October, 20 2018. PTA sending sms to mobile users.

Buy only PTA compliant mobile SIM based devices. Please check status of the IMEI by sending SMS to 8484. Non-compliant devices will not work after 20 Oct 2018.

How to check

  • Go to message
  • Type the IME number which is written inside the back of your cellphone. send it to 8484.

Your will get three types of replies

  1. Valid
  2. Not Valid
  3. Compliant.

If you get the reply "Valid":

Its mean your device is only verified from GSM, which the cellphone company provides the IME number.

If you get the reply "Not Verified":

Its mean your device is not verified from both GSM and PTA. Or the company is using local IME number, which comes under security breach.

If you get the reply, "Compliant":

Its mean your mobile device is verified from both GSM and PTA. You don't need to worry about the cellphone device verification.

Note: If you cannot find the device IME number, dial *#06#, you will get your device IME number.
